Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion focuses on the Darkness, Clovis Bray and how the Exos got to be. This dark area of Destiny’s history is illuminated by 9x dead Exos scattered across Europa. Each dead Exo that you scan will unlock a page of the Legacy’s Lament book. If you collect all 9, then you will complete the Salvage the Past triumph required to earn the Splintered title/seal.
Dead Exo Locations
There are nine Exo bodies scattered across the Europa zones. If you have already unlocked The Lament, you already have 3 of them. To save you some time, we have grouped the Exo locations into their respective areas. Even though the Exo bodies have been numbered, they don’t need to be collected in a particular order.
You can find the dead Exo locations of Europa below, whether you have already located them or are just starting to look for them. Good luck hunting!
Dead Exo #1 – Along Cadmus Ridge
Cadmus Ridge is where you will find the first Exo body. The Exo body is located on the left side if you are riding your sparrow from Charon’s Crossing. Jump on top of the first major bank of snow and cross the first ridge. The dead Exo will be directly in front of your eyes as you look towards the Vex structure on your right.
Dead Exo #2 – Inside the Perdition Lost Sector
You can find the Perdition Lost sector in the Cadmus Ridge area of Europa. It is located along the Northeast wall, just before the tunnel. This area usually contains a few Fallen. To the left of the entrance is a symbol for the Lost Sector. Go inside. Clear it. The Exo corpse is located in the boss room, in the front left corner, behind some boxes.
Dead Exo #3 – Inside Bray Exoscience
Bray Exoscience is the Western section of Cadmus Ridge. This is where you can find the next Exo body. Enter the main building by going down the steps. Go up the stairs to your left, clearing the Fallen from this room. The Exo will be in back right corner between the wall & the workstation.
Dead Exo #4 – Within Creation
You can go deeper into Bray Exoscience by following the door to your left from the third Exobody. Continue following the corridor down to the subway station, and continue down the broken elevator shaft until reaching the overlook in Creation. Look to your left and descend to the bridge that hangs above the platforms. On the left side of this white platform is a raised teal platform. Just before the vertical black panel, you will find the Exo body.
Dead Exo #5: Abandoned Warehouse in Eventide Ruins
To teleport to Eventide Ruins, use the waypoint. The abandoned warehouse that you are looking for is just ahead of you. Go inside to the wall with the large circular pod and three canisters to its right. These canisters will be right next to the Exo body.
Dead Exo #6: Inside the Bunker E15 Loss Sector
Bunker E15 can be found in the Eventide Ruins of Europa. To teleport to this area, use the waypoint and drop down. Turn around to enter the building. Follow the steps to the wall in front of your, then jump into the opening at the top of the wall and enter Bunker E15. Clear the Lost Sector until reaching the section that contains the walkways with the Cyclops and Minotaurs. You will find the Exo body under the stairs to the right of the room.
Dead Exo #7: The Asterion Abyss
There is no waypoint in Asterion Abyss so you will need to take your sparrow from Charon’s Crossing. Continue following the path until you reach the section that leads to the Well of Infinitude. Take a right and follow the path to the ridge in front. Jump off the ridge and onto the ground below. The Exo body will be on your left against the ridge in a snowbank.
Dead Exo #8: Inside the Concealed Void Loss Sector
The Concealed Void Lost Sector is located in central Europa’s Asterion Abyss. You can ride your sparrow to Charon’s Crossing by following the main path. Once it forks, take one path into a cave. The entrance to the Lost Sector is directly ahead of you if you go into the cavern. Clear the Lost Sector. The dead Exo will be found in the boss room next to the Fallen equipment.
Dead Exo #9: Well of Infinitude
Hang a right at the fork mentioned earlier. This will lead you to the Nexus, where the Well of Infinitude can be found. You can follow this tunnel to the Nexus. Once you reach it, jump off your sparrow and into the Vex superstructure. Follow these tunnels down to reach the large, reddish-lit room. On your left, the Exo body is located in an alcove with a few drones around.

Once you have collected 9 Exo bodies from Europa, you will receive an Exo Figurine that you can place inside your tent in Beyond. This completes the Salvage the Past victory.
